divestiture of more than $800 million in assets. These transactions have
included shopping centers, single and multi-family residential
developments, office buildings, resorts, and land. Individual
transactions varied from $500,000 to $50 million.
Each purchase is carefully analyzed to meet the investment comfort of
our client.
Success Story: Clients have relied on members of The Advisory
Group to assist with the purchase of 1031 exchange property. This allows
them to defer income taxes paid on the sale of their property.
Success Story: An investment in tax credit-enhanced apartment
complexes appeared to be extremely attractive to a particular investor.
Our associate, however, discovered significant weaknesses hidden in the
investment that would have produced long-term complications. As a result
of this research, the investor declined the opportunity. Unfortunately,
another group of investors made a major financial commitment only to
suffer the consequences pointed out by our team member — in the end, the
project failed.
